new to ridewithgps

been trying out ridewithgps im using the free version since im new to all of this mapping stuff, but I mapped my ride from last sat and was wondering if any of you guys are familiar with this route and what its usually called? lol

If you said "Pig Farm, Franklin Canyon, and Cummings Skyway", most everybody would have a pretty good idea of your route.

To give you an option, if you make a right at Bear Creek Rd (14.5km) you'll do the East Bay classic known as the Three Bears. Make right at San Pablo Dam Rd then another right at Castro Ranch Rd and you'll be back on Alhambra to head on back home.

I have yet to try this route especially for it being in my backyard prob the following weekend that im free I will check it out
btw, Ive taken this route on a motorcycle and driven through it, I know its pretty hilly how bad is it for someone fairly new to climbing? planning to take my other half with me on the route and want to make sure shell survive

I believe most bay area books rate the loop as 2 out of 5. So totally doable to most given today's selection of chain rings and cassettes.
