King's Mountain Road

I'm planning to do this route to Skyline on the weekend:
Bike Ride Profile | Kings Mountain Road near Woodside | Times and Records | Strava

only, instead of starting at the top of Edgewood, I'll ride from the Caltrain station. Any idea on where I can fill up on water on this route? Also, can I venture into the Purisima Creek preserve? I'm on 700x32 Paselas, so mild to moderate off roading is doable.

There is a water fountain at Roberts Store on Woodside Road. Also at the museum on Tripp Road. Huddart Park has water fountains, but I don't think near the entrance.

Bikes are legal on several trails in Purisima Preserve. Most are steep and rocky, but old Purisima Creek Road is not too bad.
