A test using my iPhone. I plan to reshoot this using a better camera and in more interesting light.
But still, this kind of works.

Trying to mask the overlapping spokes would be a recipe for going insane. This was hard enough, and taxed my poor computer enough.

My friend and I ascending Diablo last weekend. First time even though I've been cycling in the East Bay for 4-5 years now. Had a good time!

Glad you guys had a good time on Diablo. Even with my semi-regular trips to the summit, I still curse going up S.Park Dr. Don't even get me started on Hiller Dr.

Yesterday's Three Bears Loop.

Today was Mitchell Canyon.

Friday morning ride to the summit before work. One of my colleagues said to me the other week, "Only you would ride up to the summit before a full day at the office."

Gotta get your rides in where you can!

Saturday morning North Bay loop. Non-eventuful ride over both the Carquinez and Benicia/Martinez bridge via Franklin Canyon.

Sunday morning Berkeley/Oakland loop. Packed two slices of cake and headed out the door.

Yes, I'm wearing the same kit all three days, don't worry I wash them after every use. The Castelli bibs tend to ride up more than my other bibs which messes up my tan line. So I figure, if I wear the Castelli exclusively, eventually I'll tan out the other portion of my thigh.

You can sorta see how much it rides up on the last photo.

Sunday Briones Crest loop

And the non stretchy bicycle clothes and no garmin because I'm heading to the office on the MUP day.

Stayed local this week so just rides up the summit.

Thursday morning

Friday Morning

This morning was the best though as I got to meet DiabloScott as I was making my way down. Did a quick foot down turn and hustled back up so I could chat with the man that owns the mountain!

I'll do my best to make it to the Wednesday evening rides to the summit.

Wednesday morning ride to the summit.

Went out to Diablo again later that day and got to ride with Mr. Diablo himself to the junction! Scott is such a cool person and hopefully I didn't embarrass myself too much that he will let me ride with him again in the future.

Today was a ride up to the summit then Morgan Territory. First time out that way, I did clockwise based on advise from one of Scott's riding buddies and I'm glad I took it, as the road going up was a mess! The road going down on the other hand… zoom zoom!

Inspired by DiabloScott I put a GoPro on my bike to record my descent down Mt. Diablo this morning. It was only till I got home did I realize I didn't have it on video mode and all I got was a photo of me turning the camera off.

Serves me right for hauling it down the mountain.

Went to the summit yesterday morning. Weather was already warming up as I made my way up. I also remembered to press record on the video camera!

Did the Marin Century today.

Overall a nice ride but it did feel like a solo ride since 3 out of the 4 rest stops were closed as I rolled by and I only saw the SAG near the shorter routes.

Picked up 2 unannounced wheel suckers that didn't offer to take their pull.

Today I rode to the local car dealership off the Iron Horse Trail. I asked if I could park my bicycle inside the showroom while I browsed around a bit. They were pretty cool with that and commented that even my bike had GPS. They weren't that impressed with my dropper seat post. Oh well, can't please them all.

After a few test drives and some civilized discussion, I bought a car and packed my bike in the back and drove home.

Descending Mt. Rainer Washington Cascades 2014_0429
by ccorlew, on Flickr

I did a two week ride through the Washington Cascades and made too many photos.

I'm trying to do a blog entry on every day and have two so far. It may be boring, but I'm happy with teh photos.
