Tunitas Creek. We are truly blessed to live in a region with rides like this and weather like this.

Rode around the same area a week ago. Even with the soggy roads and low visibility these roads feel like riding through a magazine ad.

Tunitas creek is the most beautiful road in the Bay Area, it is like a dream (chimeric) riding up the road, or a beautiful majestic cathedral like Chartres the creek makes up for the lack of organ music!
(the second one is Bolinas/Fairfax road from highway 1!
Thank you for sharing the gorgeous pictures.
I will go in a couple of months after the pins are removed from my big toe and regained some strength and endurance!
(2 more weeks and 3 days with those pins sticking out!)

Saturday is looking good. If you're in, and not familiar with Vacaville, please PM me for our address and directions, if needed. I know we all have apps -- some more helpful than others.

We can have a post-ride meal at Pure Grain Bakery, in Vacaville's Town Square, at which some of you have eaten, or a very economical & fresh Mexican place across the streets. Or, with enough participation, a potluck at Chez Red Rider is certainly doable. Weigh in, folks.

Is there an actual date for this? I'm sure I'm just missing it, but tell me anyway.

Original plan was this Saturday, but now rain is predicted, and some out of town buyers want to look at homes Saturday & I'm doing an open house on Sunday.

I'll rethink this and start a new thread so you all can get back to posting pictures here.

I would recommend a ride out to (or included on your route) Camino Tassajara in the next week or two. We were riding through there yesterday, and the hills are COVERED with mustard flower, though they aren't quite in full bloom yet. If you get the right conditions, you can probably make your own Windows XP wallpaper!

Was on the mountain today (first time since TOC last year... yeah, I had a low cycling year in 2014, but I am back) and surprised myself murmuring "La Montagne". It was a beautiful morning, a bit chilly on the descent but still awesome. Surprisingly I made it to the junction quite easily, I think I could have gone to the top if time allowed.

Sweeeet. What a great concept for a ride, well executed.

Eroica means heroic in Italian, and very fittingly so. Cappello!
(I would have said chapeau but, Italian style rules in this photo, and the Italian language is called for.)

Thanks, gents. It was a great event, and I say that having had to miss the Councors (or whatever the Italian equivalent is) on Saturday. You have to go next year, even if only to volunteer. The massive amounts of pre-1987 bike porn alone is worth the trip. There are links to a lot of photos on the opening page of the Classic Rendezvous website.

And another taste of NorCal in CentCal: MarkoPolo and yours truly at the start.

And yes, I know my frame is too small (hence the extra lengths of seat post and stem showing). It was a barn find over 40 years ago, and I', taller than I was then.

My oldest bike is 1990... I think they ought to have a moving cutoff - so next year they'd allow 1988 bikes etc. What do you think?

Sunday, April 26, 2015, poppies on the side of Summit Road on DiabloScott's mountain, somewhere between Juniper and Devil's Elbow' Simply a glorious day to be out on a bike. Pardon the less-than-stellar photography, but I like poppies, at least the orange California state flower kind, a lot.

Went around the bridges this afternoon. Hella windy.

Bonus

Saw @DiabloScott on the mountain yesterday. He almost didn't recognize me since I was riding my other bicycle.
