Visiting Seattle in May. Need rental/trail advice

Hey guys. I'm Billy from Argentina. I lived in Seattle in the 90s and now im going back to visit. Whenever I travel I try to rent a mountain bike and do some local trails. I'll be staying on the Bothell area. I need advice on some intermediate trails to do, which have high end bike rentals or demo bikes nearby. Also it should be a half a day program since im travelling with my wife and I have to deposit her on a mall or something like that for 4 or 5 hours. Bike Demoing would be great since high end bikes are more expensive than a Mustang by the day. Been thinking on buying the Evoc bag and take my flash carbon 1 but carrying it everywere is a pain. Anyways im open and thankful to sugestions/tips/wife jokes etc. Thanx a lot.

Hola amigo,

The only bike shop that I know rents bikes is the bike shop in the city of Kirkland (if you google bicycle shops in Kirkland it will come up). There is a great bike park about 30 minutes from their by car and the Bellevue Mall is almost zero detour for dropping off the wife, but be prepared, that could cost you!!! The bike park is called Duthey Park and it is in the Sammamish Highlands area of the city of Issaquah. Their are a bunch of YouTubes for Duthey Park.

Enjoy!

Hi Billy -

The park that Kindaslow is referring to is the Duthie Hill park. You can find information on it here: https://www.evergreenmtb.org/trails/duthie-hill

You'll want to checkout the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance Trail guide: https://www.evergreenmtb.org/trails/map

Closest trails to Bothell will be St. Edwards St. Park and Paradise Valley. Duthie is a great place to ride as well. If you want something a little bigger but still close to Seattle check out Tiger Mountain. There are many options...

I'd recommend you read the stickies and if you still have questions post something here: Washington - Mtbr.com as there are a lot more Mountain Bikers there than you will find here.

Have a great visit!

You might try a website called spinlister.com The website allows individuals to list their bicycles out for rent by the hour, day, or week.

https://www.spinlister.com/

The search function is down at the bottom of the page on the left.

Recycled Cycles | Seattle's Used Bike Shop |

They have an awesome rental setup. No deposit required. Just your credit card info. I've rented for a day and two days. I've been late returning the bike with no penalty. I've decided, at the last minute to keep the bike another night and no problems.
Last summer, they even sold me the pedals off of the bike I rented, before I headed home.

I do recommend calling ahead to reserve the size and bike type you want.

Groovy shop, over by WU.
