where in PDX or Seattle for simple steel frame repair?

I need a chain stay bridge brazed onto a steel bike frame. The frame is old and lugged construction but lesser quality. I plan to paint myself afterwards. I have inquired at a number of shops without any luck (typical response is "huh?"). Can anyone suggest a place to do the job? Thanks.

Here's the place: R+E

Three years ago, my trusty custom tandem from 1988 failed at the stoker seat tube/bottom bracket junction. Someone in the tandem subforum told me to check out R+E. They came up with a clever repair to deal with other issues the bike had and did the work super-quickly. I was so happy with them that I purchased my next tandem from them. Great shop, great work, great people.

Thanks a bunch for the tips. I wanted to follow up on how it worked out. I emailed R+E first. I was impressed by the quick response from their service department, but unfortunately were unable to do the repair until things slowed down after summer. Colin had a short wait, about a week. He finished on the day he said he would and the price was very reasonable and exactly what he first quoted. To me the quality of the repair looked first rate.
