Leavenworth Loop 2016 (pics)
I drove out Saturday and enjoyed a fantastic ride. This is one of my favorites. Highly recommend the route.
- Park at the Leavenworth Park and Ride (Main Street, next to Cashmere Valley Bank)
- Ride E on Main Street / US 2
- Turn left / north on the Chumstick Highway
- Turn left on SR 207
- Turn right to enter Lake Wenatchee State Park
- Leave the park, turn right on SR 207
- Turn left on US 2
- Arrive in Leavenworth, follow Main Street back to your car

Nice, thank you for sharing your beautiful pics of Leavenworth ride! As always, your photos are fantastic.
I took Friday off and rode Paradise as we had some warm gorgeous weather. I started my ride at Elbe and made the gradual ride up. Not a single cyclist going up or down except me! And temps for that particular day was low 60s with a few cool spots but did not need arm or knee warmers for the ride up or down.

Nice pics as always SF. Also one of my favorite loops. Well worth the trip over from the West side.
[On Edit: How you liking your new bike? Looks like it's going to be a great gravel rider!]

I popped a spoke Thursday night. That's when I realized I maybe should have put more thought into the fact that it has a thru-axle to hold the front wheel in place and a quick release for the back wheel. Was able to get the wheel fixed on my lunch break Friday (worried about missing this ride) but I assume it won't hold up forever. And the weird attachment thing is going to make that harder to deal with when the time comes. Otherwise, it's been great to me! A week ago I rode up the Icicle until it got snowed out, and then Eightmile Road, I love being able to take dirt roads and explore. I'm waiting for more of them to melt out and having a real hard time.
