Address to receive packages North West area???

Hello,

I am from Utah but am currently in Alaska. I soon plan to drive back to Portland and return the car I rented. Initially I was going to fly back home but decided that I would bicycle. I am trying to figure out where to ship some packages. I tried to use amazon lockers but a lot of the items I was buying were not eligible for the lockers. I know that "general delivery" USPS is an option, but I fear that I may have problems.

Is there any safe location in the North West area where I could have my packages delivered? Looking for any ideas. I have to return the car on the 30th of July - so I am hoping to have my orders in pretty soon

thanks in advance

Both UPS and FedEx have a hold for pickup service where you can have a package held at the office you select for pickup.

General delivery works dependably for people hiking from Mexico to Canada. I think mostly at post offices in smaller towns like Stehekin and Baring.

I've used general delivery dozens of times. Never had a problem so long as you ship via USPS (not FedEx or UPS.) They don't like holding packages for very long, however. Usually 30 day max.

Alternatively: Let me google that for you

If you buy from amazon you don't have a choice in the matter.

I know about their service, but I am buying from amazon so I have no idea whether the packages will be shipped from USPS, UPS, or Fed EX.

I use the LBS address. since [UPS Business rates are lower] +they always have someone there to get It .

I'm a Part timer there..

Email and ask someone with a shop in PDX?

If you're coming through Eugene, I might be able to hold some packages for a few days. Perhaps there would be someone in Portland who is willing to facilitate.

You could talk to Mailboxes Etc. Oh, have they merged with UPS? Still worth a try.

Maybe there would be a local bike shop that would facilitate. Velocult is active with the local C&V community.
