North Seattle checking-in . . . need to find some local trails until I get a new bike rack for the car. Looks like I've got TONS of reading to find what I need.

Tigard, OR. Very close to Washington Square mall. Bike to work in Hillsboro most days. Own a car to get out to trailheads and centuries. Bike commute, cruise, MTB, and road. I'm happy as long as I'm riding.

From Eugene, OR.

Getting interested in biking more. Currently just bike to get to/from work, as well as go to my friends with my cheapo bike (replacing soon).

Am interested in doing some longer distance biking. But will need my bike to do well with going to/from work still. Will be looking at my options .

The QFC now inhabits the main floor of the Broadway Market. I think it's been at least 3 years since the move. Capitol Hill has changed a lot since I moved here in '97 -- more condos and corporate business building up the area.

I live in Puyallup. I frequently ride the trails in my area. I ride a Trek 1220, and have recently bought and converted a Trek 950 mtb for touring. I very often ride with my rear panniers and sometimes with the front bags as well, because I like how the bike handles with the front bags. I almost always ride with my hammock (which I made) in my rear bag and usually stop somewhere along the trail, and "hang-out" for awhile with a good book. I ride a couple of times a week, 20-40 miles a day.

I've done 3 long tours, and am planning a trip next summer on the Oregon coast.

I used to ride with a guy named Chad that hailed from Colville.

The Hawatha Trail looks good, do you know if it hooks up with the Cour d' Alene trail?

I grew up in Lewiston, Idaho, but have lived here in North Seattle for the past 11 years. I also grew up taking road trips on my 10-speed with my family, but strayed from cycling for many years, before recently returning. I'm looking forward to many Seattle commutes between my house and the UW.

Couple From Colville

where is Colville? 1 hour north of Spokane on Highway 395. Highways full of logging trucks, rednecks and narrow roads. Bike at your own risk. Beautiful Country but pedal with care. Everyone should see Sherman Pass, Highway 20 between Kettle Falls and Republic WA. Pedal on my friends....

Ask away, Brian! What kind of stuff do you need to know? If you're using the bike to commute, check in with the Commuting forum folks.

Welcome to Bike Forums!

I live in Suncrest on Sunrise Dr. and have been here for about 5 years. Most of my summer riding is road and you have probably seen me out there riding. I ride through Tum Tum at least a few times a week usually in the early AM. We just don't get to many riders out here. In the winter/cold weather months I'll head out on the MB/cross to the state lands (while we still have them) or up to Stoney peak, Dunn's Mt and Saddle Mt above Tum Tum. Used to ride to Riverside from the house but 291 past big sandy is getting a little to harry for me.

Welcome to BF Mary

I was just up there last Friday on the RSVP. Most of my riding in Whatcom has been over in the Acme/Deming area. Beautiful area to be a biker.
