hhhhmmmm Sydney Australia... is that on the Northwest part of Australia? If so then I think that we could figure a way to include you in.

Hello from outside Seattle Kenmore WA

I live in Kenmore and Work in Seattle. New to forum and returning to biking....the hills and being out of shape make nervous but ready to start

I'm a frequent poster on the clydesdales forum and just wanted to report that I am now officially a Pacific Northwesterner! A few weeks ago I migrated from the frigid depths of New Hampshire to the cycling paradise of Portland, Oregon.

Being new to the area, I'm eager to meet new people and find some group rides I can keep up with.

Welcome, Scott. I think you'll enjoy riding in the northwest - except for the periodic ice storms in Portland.

I just recently found this site. Live in Kirkland and commute to school at the UW via Specialized Allez (if its not raining). Definitely interested in doing some rides.

I go to school in Bellingham after a 2 year stint in Pullman, but grew up/still consider "home" to be Bainbridge Island. I like the riding down there better.

buzzedbiker 02-16-09 12:30 AM

I live in the Juanita area. I don't mind riding in the rain and cold, but riding in the sun this weekend was a nice change of pace!

Mark Turner 02-16-09 08:13 AM

Leakysieve,

Welcome to Bellingham. I think there's lots of great riding around here, but can't really compare to Bainbridge since I haven't ridden down there.

jazzyrider 02-20-09 04:05 PM

Work in Seattle, live in FedWay. I've been busy these past few years so I'm trying to build my fitness up again. I really miss riding around here. Can't wait to get back on the bike!

Scott, welcome to the Portland scene. Did you ride WDOTY?
I was a clyde, too until the last 6-8 months. 190 and 5'11" but I'm still not very fast. If you want to ride sometime, I live just across the I-5 bridge in Vancouver. I try to get 2-3 rides per week in, mostly some trails around my place, but at least 2x monthly I'll head to Forest Park, Scappoose or further. Give me a holla'. <edit> I just went back to re-read your post. You look like a roadie. I'm a mountain biker. the rides I refer to all include dirt. Check in with the portland Wheelmen.

I work near West Seattle. I might join the weekly COGS "Between the NOX" rides once they start up in April. No schedule is posted on the COGS website yet, but I think the rides are Tuesdays at 6pm. I haven't been on my bike since last October and I'm looking forward to geting some saddle time in.

I'm in Boise, ID. Been here since 1989 and in ID since 1969. It gets a little hot here in the summer but the weather is generally pretty great and I commute year round.

Hey folks, recently signed onto this forum. I live in Snohomish WA and I plan to commute to work in Everett on my bike ... as soon as I get to the point where I'm no longer hacking up chunks of lung on hills! Anyone else do this commute (Lowell River Road)? Beautiful, flat, country ride, but killer hills on both ends.

See ya around!
