Whatcom-Skagit Tour de Beer
I'm contemplating a series of relaxed rides to visit all the microbreweries in Whatcom and Skagit Counties over the coming months. Boundary Bay in Bellingham may not count since it's so close I can walk in a few minutes, but definitely worth a stop for a brew. Then there's the North Fork Brewery up Mt. Baker Highway. Out Highway 20 is the newish brewery at Birdsview. There's Skagit River Brewery in Mount Vernon. Rockfish Grill & Anacortes Brewery in Anacortes. What am I missing? Anyone interested?

LaConner brewery, LaConner. Their IPA is good.
I'm too far south, and too much of a light-weight to drink and ride. But, enjoy!!

Second the LAconner IPA> Don't forget Orchard Street in Bellingham. There was one in Oak Harbor I just can not remember the name.

Thanks for the note on LaConner brewery. Orchard Street closed several years ago. There's a bar/restaurant in the old location, but I haven't been. We've got a new brewery under construction down in Old Town, but it will be a few months before they open. The Kemper family of root beer fame is renovating a building for their new brewery.

I am interested (I bet my brother would be too), but the next five weeks and weekends will be kind of busy for me. We are settling into a new home and have visitors arriving mid-May. Since my wife and I both work full time, most of our weekend time is going to be all about unpacking for awhile. On the plus side, if we make our mid-May deadline, that means we can do fun stuff for the rest of the Summer...right?
So if you plan any rides like this for late May, June, July, etc. I'd love to go. I also live in Bellingham. I'm a big fan of both Boundary Bay and the North Fork Brewery/Beer Shrine. I'm also a big fan of the La Conner IPA, but haven't been to the brewery.
