Yaquina Lighthouse
Anyone doing the Yaquina Lighthouse Century in August? The scenery looks great, but I'm a little nervious about how much of it is on 101.

No problem on 101 in that area, nice wide shoulder and a tailwind. The hard part will be some of the climbs inland, but they are fine. It's a great place to ride, very beautiful along the beach.

How hard are the climbs? I made my first century attempt last month with the Pioneer Century, but that climb up Sawtell Road left me with absolutely nothing in the tank and so I ended up only doing the 55-mile loop.
I tried mapping the ride out on veloroutes (https://veloroutes.org/bikemaps/?route=18050) and obviously there's no single climb that looks anything like Sawtell but lots of short climbs. So I have some idea what it looks like on paper, but what's it like in reality?

There is 2800 ft of climbing over 100 miles, so it's not too bad at all, mostly rollers and a couple longer climbs.
I sent you a PM for more details.
