Havin' fun yet

What a beautiful site. I am sitting at home, working, and out the window the sun is shining on the freshly fallen snow. My daughter is sick of it because it means alot more work tending the the farm! How is everyone else doing?

I just got back from a ride to the store, then I'm going sledding with one of my sons. It's a nice day off!

I rode to work this morning to find everyone decided to take the day off.....So I did too. Nice day for a ride! I used my folder today with super fat 20" slicks. Didn't slip or slide once! (unlike all the cars around). I've previously ridden my MTB in the snow but didn't feel like digging it out. My folder does much better anyways....

I took my recumbent trike out for a spin. I had fun doing circles and riding around in the parking lot while my neighbors tossed snowballs at me.

Go to the NOAA Seattle website and click on your area on the colored forecast map. Then click on the "high wind watch" printed in red.

Yeah, I saw that. They couldn't get a shot of me over here on the eastside, safely making my way over all the hardpack ice with my studded tires... Instead they find the one guy who rides his bike as bad as most people drive in the snow.

Went down twice over the last 24 hours due to icy slopes... Broke my bike bucket when I partially landed on it.

Thats it... I'm finished... I'll (perish the thought) walk.

Not fair I am at work today!

The commutes this week have been nothing less than brutal. total 6 hrs on Monday and 7 on Tuesday(round trip). I took Wednesday off , worked yesterday and stayed at my brothers place in Alki last night. No bus tonight I will be riding with a co worker who has to go to Everett, thank God.

I hear we have over a foot of snow accumulated in Everett, means a nasty weekend for xmas shopping. Maybe I will just do the gift cards thing this year.

With the weather report saying more snow for the weekend looks like I will be spending a lot of time with Netflix! I hope the commute is better next week, I have to work every day (except Thursday of course) to cover for people on vacation.

Went to work Monday. Went to work Tuesday. Wednesday was my day off. Went to work Thursday. Wasn't scheduled to start until 7.30, but I got there at 5.15 am and was immediately put to work because three other people had not come in. Got to work this morning just after 5.00 am, and was immediately put to work because three people had not come in.

Yesterday I walked part of the way home, and took the 169 bus up Benson. Today I did the same thing .

It was VERY cold today :brrrrrrrr: .

Took the fixed gear out on Thursday, rode from basically the Fremont bridge to the top of Queen Ann. The only time I went down was when I skidded for the sake of skidding, and wasn't expecting the lack of friction, so I just kind of, you know, fell. I had the cut the ride short due to snow build up between my tires and fenders making it really hard to go anywhere. It was really funny to watch all the cars sliding down hills and spinning tires at every stop sign while I cruised along on my 25c slicks.
