cycling the columbia gorge

I have three days next week where I'm staying in Stevenson, Washington. Since it is still acting like winter here in Leavenworth I'm looking forward to riding at least on the north side of the river. This will be the first time off the trainer so I'm limiting rides to 35 miles.
I'm looking for any suggestions, I'm going to take my cross bike with two sets of tires so mountain biking is an option too.
Thanks a ton.

Here is a link to Columbia Gorge cycling routes on both sides of the river.

If you are staying at the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, the hotel can provide additional info.

A bit early in the season, but should be enjoyable regardless.

thanks for the information

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Thanks for the information, the wind was heinous so I rode into it first [west]. The shoulders are a bit of a mess in Skamania County yet. But it still snowed twice at home while I was gone so it was a win.
I rode up out and up to the hot springs at Carson and after the soak I struggled to just ride the handfull of miles back again. i was a complete noodle.
