You know it's blowing when....
1) You lose 4.5 mph on the average speed over 9 miles
2) You swear more in those same 9 miles than you have in the past three months
3) The cows are shaking their heads at you
4) You're glad it's a back country road with no traffic so you can use the whole road when the gusts hit you
5) The trees grow at an angle
According to the weather - winds at 30 mph and who knows about the gusts. Guess I was a little dumb to go out, but tomorrow's a day off.

You do know that the entire atmosphere of the Earth blows through the Kittitas Valley every 24 hours, right?

When I lived in Wenatchee, I had a morning ride that required me to pedal downhill on School Street otherwise I would have come to a complete stop. But I think E-burg is consistently windier.
