Revolution Cycles in Eugene has been shut down!

Revolution Cycles, in Eugene, Oregon has been shut down for non-payment of rent. The landlord's bank is enforcing a lien on the shop and its contents and has locked it up. I found this out from a newly ex-employee today and popped by the shop to see for myself. The ex-employee told me that beyond money owed to the landlord, the employees hadn't been paid in quite a while.

I know that this shop has been raked over the coals in previous threads, and that isn't my purpose in posting this. I hate to see a bike shop go under, and I'm sorry Shane's venture didn't work out for him. My concern is that Revolution Cycles is a big E-Bay seller, and still has a ton of items up for auction. If I were a bidder on an item from their store I would be very concerned about the seller's ability to access and ship items after receiving payment. Unless items up for auction were removed from the premises prior to the lock down, they are now under lien.

Not to mention any bikes at the shop for repair.

oh wow that sucks! I bought my Surly LHT from there. I needed to get another copy of my receipt for it haha. The guy was kind of a dick to me but I'm really sad to hear his business is doing so slow. I hope they can pick back up from this.

I've talked to a close friend of Shane and he tells me there will be no recovery. He also tells me the value of goods being detained far outweigh the rent owed.
