I did my first STP last year with 8 other friends and did it under 12 hours ride time. This year I wanted to see how fast I could do it & was pleasently surprised with 9:53 ride time. The two things that really helped was that fact that I had done the Death Ride the week before and also the low tempertures.
Next year I'm planning on riding 2 day on a tandem with my girlfriend.
