Renting a touring bike on the Big Island

Renting a touring bike on the Big Island

I'm looking for a touring bike to rent on the Big Island for a one-week trip at the end of may. I would be camping so I need something with a rack (or maybe a BOB trailer). I did a quick search on the renting places and all I've seen is either road bikes or mountain bikes.
Anyadvice??

Give this guy a call, he might have an older bike for rent that could work. I rented a some sort of Schwinn hybrid/cx bike from him that might be tweaked to work as a touring bike.

The all-important question is....which side of the island?

Make sure to ask if that used place is going to rent you a bike that is in good condition and not a rusty junker. Some of those used places like to sell bikes with rusty and worn out components to people that don't know any better - I've seen some horrible bikes come out of used bike shops here.
