May Day Metric

Just a reminder May Day Metric is on May 1st. I am planning to do the whole 100 miles. Should be a dry Sunday.

Wish I can do this but I have other plans so I ended up doing an abbreviated version starting at Puyallup foothills trail and followed all the markers up to Carbonado! Other than the occasional passing shower, it was a great day. And no irate or redneck drivers either!

Here's the route I did... https://app.strava.com/rides/476871

That's pretty good pace. Yeah not running into an irate or redneck truck driver in that part of town is a great day. Is that the turn around point for the May Day Metric 100 miles route?

The turnaround was only another mile or two down the road literally. I reached the highest point, according to the writing on the road. At that point, it was coming down hard and it was cold and I was not fully prepared since my hands and feet were starting to feel the temperatures. When I started in Puyallup, it was warm and the sun was showing its face and started with short fingered gloves and no booties. Most of the ride was passing showers but as I approached Wilkeson and Carbanado, it was getting colder. This was the reason for my pace being pretty good as I wanted to keep warm.

This is a great ride and well supported. I've done it in the past and looks like the weather will be fine for everyone! Have fun!
