Trip Advice

I will be completing the STP for my first time in July and have a couple extra days to use for my holidays after the ride. Can anyone suggest some good day cycling trips for me and my fellow riders. We are all of an intermediate level of cycling but would prefer to do sometime more in a day touring capacity. We will have a car at our disposal so we are able to travel to the days start area. I would love to cycle along the coast line area but have no idea which area would be the best.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Andy

Ride up the gorge. Check out the Lewis and Clark route on Adventure Cycling. There are also lots of journals on CrazyGuy. Or go out to Astoria and ride down the coast. I'd drive from Portland to Astoria and start there; the ride from Portland to Astoria isn't that great.
