To the nice Australian couple I met on Lewis & Clark Road

If you read here: that unmarked turnoff I took a chance on was indeed the shortcut to 202 I was looking for. I did have to ask directions from a friendly local, who set me straight.

I trust your trip to Astoria was pleasant, and it was nice passing a few moments with you.

Hmmm... I hope everybody got to where they were going.

That's a neat place to be riding. The recumbent gang was up and down those roads this weekend:

Those look like fun rides! I was coming from Seaside up Lewis & Clark to Young's River and so to 202 south to Vernonia. The couple I met at the top of L&C were headed to Astoria. We put our heads together about the place where Logan Rd. branches off from L&C, but isn't marked in any way. I guessed it was the right road for me and turned out to have been correct (lucky!). They continued up L&C north to Astoria. I'm sure they made it fine.

Yeah, well... most of the roads run north & south there. If you go west you end up in the Pacific Ocean, east heads up hill into the Coast Range.

The "Waterfall" loop is a favorite. The Youngs River Falls are quite a sight.
