4 Summit Challenge

Anybody here ride the 4 Summit Challenge out of Cascade, Idaho? Thinking about riding it; any tips/points/thoughts would be appreciated.

I live in SoCal at the beach; the ride is up in the mountains. I'll spend a day or two in Boise beforehand, at 2500 ft. Should I consider going up to Cascade at 6K ft for a day to acclimatize (assume a proper amount of fitness on my part)

thanks

It takes much longer than one day to acclimate to elevation, however 2500' is not much change. 6K is a fair amount of change but still 24 hours will do you little. Avoid caffene while you are there. Get a good nights sleep and make sure you are well hydrated. If you are in good physical condition you will be fine.
