Metric Century Ride in Port Angeles / Saturday, May 3 2014
Hello PNW Bike Forum Members,
Here's a heads-up on a fun local metric century ride we've been doing here in Port Angeles, WA every first Saturday of May for the last couple years. This year that would fall on May 3, 2014. Many of you have previously talked with me about this, so just as a reminder, all the info you need is on a blog I made for the ride:
Downtown Hotel Metric Century
This is NOT just a C&V ride; of all the bikes I remember from the last couple years, most of them were modern rides. Of course if you do it on some old lugged steel thing, that just makes you a bit cooler than those other guys : )
If you'd like to contact me personally, just PM me back or call me at the number of the hotel I operate, 1-866-688-8600. I'm usually the one answering the phone 9am-5pm weekdays. My name's Tim.
If you want to stay over for a night or two, the hotel is the starting and finishing point for the ride. The blog mentions a $5 discount on the (already cheap) room rates, but Tim says we'd better just go ahead and make that a full 50% off for anyone who self-identifies as a Bike Forums member when they make their reservation. He's the boss and he says so. Early May usually means kind of a slow weekend anyway; so what the hell.
Hope to see some of you there, and if you can't make it out here this time, then some other time, or maybe next year's ride?
