Guilt by association
Tejay van Garderen defends links to Lance Armstrong - Cycling Weekly
This is reminiscent of Lance defending his link to Ferrari. Guilt by association his harder to shake off when it is a defiant, blatant association.
Doubles standards are unfair, the correct response is to bust those given a pass rather give a pass those that have done as much damage as Armstrong.
Tejay just lost a fan.
Of course this is just my two cents, and like pennies, it is worth less than the resources it took to produce.

It's just really not that big of a deal.

Storm in a teacup. It might be something if TJ was hanging out with Ferrari or Conconi, but Lance, for all that he did, is just an ex-cyclist.
I'd have more questions about why Lance felt the need to bring a camera crew just to film him riding a moped around Colorado with or without Tejay hanging out the back of it.

He makes a great point about Vino, too. He not only has a team, at least 5 of his riders have been popped for doping over the last year, to the point that his team's license hangs by a thread.

You ever hear of the phrase "Six degrees of separation"? Well, OP, you may as well go through life hating everything, because everything in the universe can be traced back to Lance Armstrong if you try hard enough. Tell me what it's like not to have any real problems and worry about who Tejay Van Garderen is friends with???

You, seeming to have a strong opinion about that pro cyclist, charge that I must have no real problems.
I have very real, very large problems. Particularly today. Today is an exceptionally bad day. Put me in a mason jar screw the lid on as tight as you can and I still won't hold it together today. I bloviate in online forums about cycling while avoid dealing with those problems. But I am nobody. So what kind of problems do you have that allow you to form strong opinions about anonymous, nobodies blithering in online forums?
If I could delete / erase my post, I would. Please forgive me, though I am clearly unworthy, of my egregious offense. I shall now commence with shunning myself.
