Tony Martin Crash
Watching the replay of the Tony Martin crash on day 6, the announcers all mentioned how he "touched the wheel" of the cyclist next to him. In watching the replays, it looked to me more than just a wheel touch. Looks like he intentionally leaned very heavily into the rider next to him, to push him out of the way. Is that anyone else's opinion?

No, the wheel touch happened before that. When the rider moved across his wheel, the only way he could avoid being taken down was to lean hard the other way and try to hold his wheel steady. When his wheel came off of the other rider, his lean caused him to swerve over into the other riders and go down.

Yep. Once you touch, you can't countersteer. That's why it looks like he was leaning so far over.

Thanks for your replies. I understand. I have seen on those sprints to the finish, that some riders try to jockey for position, by leaning into other riders. But didn't make sense he would do it, that far back in the peloton.
