Jens Voight, 2010. He said he was on a "kids bike". Any proof it's a Mavic? His story makes it sound like it's a juniors bike, like L'Etape.

Aha. Here's a machine translation of a French article that resolves the ambiguity.

When he falls, he finds that the assistance cars of his Saxo Bank team have already passed. Impossible to retrieve his "mule". Still a bit groggy, on the edge of the road, he gets a yellow bicycle he believes come from "one of these programs for children who take part in stages of the Tour de France" (it's called The Cadets Juniors ). In fact, it is the Mavic support that comes to pass Voigt to a "universal" because planned bike to suit any rider of the bunch, from smallest to largest. Another important detail, it is equipped with footrests. In the pack, all teams do not in fact use the same system of pedals, and shims are obviously not compatible.Wounded, the German veteran will then travel twenty kilometers on his little bike to catch up grupetto. It then retrieves a suitable bike, as his manager told a policeman on the side of the road. He finished the stage in time, and will even Paris. But that day, without that yellow bike, Voigt would have had to get in the car brush.

Apparently it was a Cannondale CAAD 9, which seems to make sense looking at the photo.

Now they're on much fancier CF Canyons.
