And how many women's bikes do they sell versus Men's? Relatively small niche manufacturer could easily decide WSD isn't worth it.

And if she rode to 5th or whatever on a Wilier they would have no press either. Making a tiny woman ride a frame too big because they can't be bothered to produce a womens line

she is a good rider and world champ. she will ride for someone if UHC and Wilier don't want her. PLENTY of men ride blacked out wheels or rebadged components. Calling a woman out like that is pretty lame. They talk regularly about men riding Lightweight wheels and discs and non sponsor saddles/cockpits.

0 they don't have a women's frame. Smallest TT frame is a 51 For a women that is 5'2 that is pretty big. I'm 5'7 and ride a 53 top tube on my road bike.

And what do you think would have happened if Taylor won the ITT on a non BMC frame?, with no BMC badges.
there would be at least as much controversy.

also, you don't know the terms of Shomano's sponsorship with BMC. While Shimano provides group sets to BMC, the deal may not require the exclusive use of Shimano wheels. Many teams use Dura Ace groups, and not
Shimano Wheels.

finally Sponorsrhip for women's cycling is much more a sellers market than it is for men. Like it or not, pleasing sponsors,is much more importantant for the continued viability of women's cycling.

Which should the "Piper" be more happy at...

A) Their sponsored rider winning a world championship on a stealthed out kit.

2) Their sponsored rider displaying their trade bike...but finishing10th or 12th where no one remembers or notices?

Also remember that every 4 years at the Olympics everyone shuts up and is happy for their riders winning on unbranded bikes...as all the NASCAR logos must be covered up.

I did notice in the women's road race that a lot of riders were closer to the "French" fit than the "Competitive" fit. I guess it might be hard finding a top level frame for the really small riders.

It doesn't matter whether Wilier should be happy or not. The point is Wilier is not happy, and it's their call as the people footing the bill.

And let's see the wind tunnel data that shows she doesn't win on the Wilier. For god's sake she has to have been TTing on the Wilier for 10 months. If there was a fit issue, there was a lot of time to sort it out before this week.

Bottom line is you honor your commitments and follow the instructions of the people who pay you. And to whom you agreed to work for.

You sound like the F1 teams who tell a car to pull over so their "main" guy can win.

Or decide to do what it takes to win the world championships and be willing to lose your job with its measly pay. I think she isn't going to lose any sleep over her decision.

I agree.

No idea why would people think UHC would let go of her anyway. Can you imagine the outrage? Media, fans, peloton, etc.

and like what he said some team will sign a WORLD CHAMPION. F, do you think RaboLiv would think twice on signing a WORLD CHAMPION? They'd probably boot someone just to sign this gal.

PS
the guys on the men's peloton are huge offenders of using non-sponsor saddles. same argument, they're not fulfilling their sponsorship duties. What's the defense here?
