woo hoo! we're up to 8 teams. was hoping for at least 20 by the deadline so fingers are crossed.
in a related note, a little miffy that so many great riders are shoehorned into the sprinter category:
sagan
kittel
greipel
cavendish
coquard
matthews
degenkolb
kristoff
bennett
ebh
dumoulin
stuyvens
van avermaet
etc...
granted, most of them are sprinters but others just have a nose for the finish line. bummer to be able to pick only
two from this category at the most. seemed like the overall gc choices were plentiful and the climbers are kinda weak.
this year's sprint finishes should be something to behold. don't remember this much quality sprinter firepower in the recent past.
too bad bouhanni is out since he would have undoubtedly added even more drama to the sprints. guess he just couldn't wait
to start the proceedings off...

How can I buy extra points so I can field a better team???
I've entered and show up #6 on the BF league listing...likely the highest I'll be over the next 3 weeks!

And now I'm down in my rightful place...bottom third! Velogames knows before the first flag drops!

it took me 132 credits.
the crazy first week is all about praying that your (especially big point) guys make it through
the daily crashfests relatively unscathed. any points you get are almost icing on the cupcake.

This will be fun. I've never played before.
I've already revised my team three times. But I think I'm set now...

counting on greipel to win a stage or two and maybe finish 2nd in the green jersey compitition
(and be in the top 4 in all the sprint finishes throughout the entire tour) after a few sprinters
bounce before the pyrenees/alps along with olympics considerations. no pressure andré.

I'm counting on Kittel, Froome, Quintana, Porte, and vanGarderen to all come down with a stomach bug and have to abandon.
I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Yeah that was Greipel's to lose. I bet he was pissed when he saw the replay!
I didn't pick Cav because I thought he was pretty much over. I have Kittel who was no where to be seen at the line yesterday. Ah well...

How is the GC order determined when you have several riders with the same time? After today's stage, the GC order is:
1 VAN AVERMAET, Greg (BMC) 25:34:46
2 ALAPHILIPPE, Julian (EQS) + 5:11
3 VALVERDE BELMONTE, Alejandro (MOV) + 5:13
4 RODRIGUEZ OLIVER, Joaquin (KAT) + 5:14
5 FROOME, Christopher (SKY) + 5:17
6 BARGUIL, Warren (TGA)
7 QUINTANA ROJAS, Nairo (MOV)
8 ARU, Fabio (AST)
9 ROLLAND, Pierre (CDT)
10 MARTIN, Daniel (EQS)
11 KELDERMAN, Wilco (TLJ)
12 VAN GARDEREN, Tejay (BMC)
13 YATES, Adam (OBE)
14 BARDET, Romain (ALM)
15 MOLLEMA, Bauke (TFS)
16 HENAO MONTOYA, Sergio Luis (SKY)
17 VAN DEN BROECK, Jurgen (KAT) + 5:26
So for all those riders at 5:17, what puts Froome at 5 and Hanao Montoya at 16?

Yay! All of my riders now have points! Both Bookwalter and Burghardt got assist points today for Van Avermaet. Having points on all my riders is a departure from past games.

Countback of finishing order. Imagine the sequence for all the sprinters on stage 1. Same thing, with some math thrown in across multiple stages.
