we'll see just how much froomie and contador are sandbagging soon enuff. glad i can now strengthen my palmares with a dfl overall after so many forgettable middling placements and meager "acorn" (as slcbob is fond of referencing) showings.

I cannot say I thought Birdsong (fugl is danish for bird) would win but a very solid rider. This puts his cost on tdf up but he will be riding in support. He does it well. He pulled Nibali in a cross winds on the wet cobbles in the 14 tdf. He strengthens his already excellent resume and most likely his salary with this win to be sure
On another note congrats to you on the overall nera maglia

I pulled a Porte +1 and must re-strategerize for la grande boucle. An exceptionally humble showing by all of us (he says from the bottom step of the podium, in semi-defeat).
However, there is one remarkable accomplishment! All hail the Lanterne Ooga. Oops, my bad, the Maglia Booga.
For a moment I thought the pitbull would screw it up for you, but it seems you can always count on him to not score too many points.

really thought gerrans and kwiatkowski would score more than 8 and 17 points respectively. wasn't expecting a leader's
jersey or even necessarily a stage win but c'mon...25 points between 'em?!

I expected more from Kwiatkowski. Figured they'd let him off the leash for a result before putting him into the salt mine for the whole Tour.
Gerro 3rd on the depth chart behind Chaves and Yates, not the man he used to be, and no results this year I'm aware of. He was a dark horse. On the bright side, at least he started the race!
