it's still relatively far out so be sure to double-check if your selected riders are
still starting the day before. time to be or not to be.

the entry deadline is saturday, july 1st 15:00 cest. will you be the champ or pack fodder?

happier with the climbers grouping than the all-rounders for this edition. the unclassifieds are strong but i kinda wish we had one more wildcard vs unclassified choice. ideal team weighed the scales at 124 points. much slicing and dicing.

When do final rosters have to be out? Steephill still has partials like Cannondale and Dimension Data.

Ooga...my first run at the roster came out around 124. A lot of 4 point riders I've never heard of and have a tough time figuring out how they won't just end up with a "0" at the end.

I felt a bit more empowered to do that when I was a moderator. I also am glad that the people who actually produced them didn't seem to mind them being copied.

some rosters still incomplete or subject to revision. everyone should try to check their
lineup the morning of or the (late) night before the deadline.

plenty of 4-pointers i'm oblivious to but if you front load your roster with the faves, you gotta
make peace with a 4-pointer-or two-or three. plenty of quality 6 and 8 pointers.
i stocked up on some favorite 8-pointers in the dauphine tho and look where it got me...
so many strategies to approach the tour. whichever one(s) you embrace may be shot to
bleep after the first pileup.

changed my line up a few times already 4,s are always tough but there are some very good unclassified riders at 8

I have not done well in a gran tour since the 15 Giro I think the one week races are very different as you do not know who is really trying or really out of form. Plus you are not put to the format of sprinter all rounder and uc and can fill your roster however you choose.

I have never done well at TDF league

me neither. won both the vuelta and giro but usually middle of the pack in the tour.

i would be interested in seeing the gt's-for one full year-like the one week races. no categories
you're pigeonholed into or forced to choose. this year, totally underwhelmed with the all-rounders
and feel a few of the climbers should be in that category. also underwhelmed with the 8-12 pointers
in both cats. however, last year's tdf sprinters included riders that were more classics guys where this year,
many are in the unclassified section. the unclassified have some meat this year...just not in the 4-pointers.

Hmmm. It looks like there's some kind of athletic event starting soon.

I may change my team lineup by Braille a few [dozen] times between now and Saturday, but....

I think I won something somewhere once, but it is relatively laurel free around here. Particularly compared to the splendor of a maglia nera!

OK, I'm pretty sure I stopped making changes to my team. At least for the moment.

I'm also super confident that I'm going to be awesome. Just like every other time, until the race starts. Then we'll see!

Happy Le Touring, everyone. Hasta the gran depart.

I just checked my team again because it was all a blur as to who I finally picked. And I did NOT make any changes. Woo hoo.

I did some piror coin flips between Barguil-Talansky-Roglic (pick 1) and PhilGil, deGendt, Bevin, Gallopin, and GVA (pick 2). I'm sure they will bring me highs and lows as this works out. It's extra special to be able to recall who I didn't pick and watch them excel. It really gives me some pain as payback and penance for all the Irish Catholic guilt I've managed to shake off over the years.

Three big-point riders leaves me with picking three 8 point and three 4 point riders. I do like Gesink for one of my 8 point choices.
