Will Lance Quit?
If Lance doesn't have good enough form or some incident happens to put him out of contention. Will he ride it out and possibly work towards a high placing of another team member or will he quit?

Jeeez, tough question! that would definately only be possible for LA to answer.
Cant see why he wouldn't keep on keepin on if possible and work for someone else, its not like he has any other races to go and get ready for... Bjarne did it for Jan.

its the tour, you never know what will happen. an event could happen that would take him out of contention, then the same thing could happen a day further down the tour and put him right back into contention. He'll stay in till the last, he has too much pride to quit.

But back to the topic. It is almost impossible to guess. There are so many things that can happen. If he is just off form he will very likely still hang fairly close. In that case he will stay, hoping to ride into form in time. But to the viewer it will look exactly the same if he has a 'minor' medical problem and that could put him in a position where he will abandon, knowing he is just getting worse.
Same for injury. It will depend a lot on how bad, chance to make it worse and if it is enough to take him out of contention perhaps on how teammates are placed, possible stage wins and even how close they are to Paris. (On the last I just can not picture Lance abandoning in the last couple of stages unlesss really hurt badly).

excelent point. he was dehydrated (after the first TT) to a point that could be fatal for some, and certaily crippling for days to most other mortals, but he got back on the bike and toguhed it out.
as cliche as it is to champion lance, i think more than anyone in the peloton, hes shown he wont quit, at least not the tour.

I don't think he'd quite. These guys seem to be able to handle extrordinary amounts of hard time on the bike. Just look back to Basso at Giro. He lost ~40 min that one day he got the stomach flu and just stuck with it even though all GC hopes were lost.
