Euskaltel team rider nationality?

last night on OLN trautwig said that the only team with all national riders was Brioches La Boulangère, with all the riders being french. i thought in the past Euskaltel only used riders from the basque area of spain, has this changed? or is traughtwig just wrong again?

He was wrong, There is a rider named Unai Yus on Brioches who is from Spain.
And Euskatel is basically a Basque team, there is one guy from Venezuela, but he certainly has a Basque name, Unai Etxerbarria

Even if they only used Basque riders, certainly one or two of them must have been from the French Basque region, no? (or are those pros rare?)

Hah! ETXEBARRIA looks like a Basque name to me. Did they allow him in because maybe his parents were Basque or something

Probably, There are a few other riders like that,

Guido Trenti, is an american, from what i have read he has an american mother and italian father. he rides for fassa and is basically an italian.

juan antonio flecha, born in argentina, but is now considered an spanish rider.

Yes, but Euskatel is different, they take pride in being Basque and being Basque is the point. I suspect that Unai (no relation to David) is from Basque parentage.
