TdF official website gets vicious
Today's writeup:
https://www.letour.fr/2005/TDF/LIVE/us/1400/index.html
"Stupid" and "don?t understand the tactics required to win a race of this nature", true or false as they may be in your opinion, are in any case pretty rough criticisms for the official site to be laying on participants.

I'd like to be at the T-Mobile breakfast table tomorrow. I think Vino is racing for himself, not for Ullrich and they were chasing him down as a rogue. At least thats what I thought at first. A couple stages ago, Vino was about to go off the front and Ullrich turned and visibly YELLED at him, so i dunno WHAT is going on. Either way, should have let the others chase....

Although these stars would return for the final climb they would vanish again after a bizarre scene which illustrated T-Mobile’s stupidity. -TDF website
The site should be promoting the race and its participants. Tour de France accepted T-Mobile into the race and then calls them stupid. I guess the TDF was stupid for allowing to participate.

Sure sounds like it:
"But Ullrich… why must you insist on losing this race you know you can win?"
Translation: "Why must you insist on losing the race I bet you could win?"

Does anyone know who writes for that page? In the past they've always sounded like the writer might be a Brit. And, those remarks sound very similar to Sherwen's comments while calling the stage.

Seems to go with comments made by PouPou a few days ago in which he said flatly that Ullrich was "not a professional" because of his big weight gains in the off season, a dearth of racing, and bad conditioning.

There always seem to be some minor feel/usage issues in the text, but overall it's very well written assuming it's not a native speaker- if that is the case, they can do a lot better.
