Damn, I loved those Oakleys, with the little foam across the tops of the lenses. I was broke, out of work but still spent about $50. on my pair. It was probably half of my unemployment check but well worth it. I love the shot of Davis Phinney waiting for the start of a stage. He belongs in that thread about classy cyclists with great style. I remember talking to him after the Pro Champs in Philly. I think it was '86 what a great guy. Seeing him ride just made me want to go race a bike. God bless you, Davis.

I had the gold iridium Eyeshades, white frame with foam strip and ventilation holes drilled across the top. They were bigger than my face.

My God....I looked like a tool.
