Why isn't Vino wearing his normal jersey?

What's with this pink jersey? What happened to his national jersey?

He is the road race champion not the time trial champion. You only get your special jersey for your discipline.

Does he have to wear that national kit?? I agree, it's pretty damn ugly.

Did you see the behind-the-scenes feature during today's stage? It showed the guy who's job is to make the yellow, etc jerseys for the riders. He just pulls out a jersey from a bag, and hot-presses the team logo onto it! Neat, especially that it happens in the back of a minivan!

Vino was riding today for a contract next season - that looked like extra motivation.

He should have worn a jersey today with $$$ all over it, as a free-agent-to-be.

Because he secretly reads bikeforums on his downtime and wanted to throw us all off after reading the many threads asking why he was wearing the teal jersey instead of pink.
