Who really cares? Would you have bought the Lemond if he didn't make such ridiculous statements?

I hate to be a wet blanket but something divided by itself = 1. It certainly doesn't change the outcome but it should read 2 > 1. Ahh, now I can sleep.

I think that Georgiaboy was subtracting pizza/pizza from both sides of the equation which left him with 1 and 0.

That bike's dope anyway. It's a converted fixie that's about two sizes to small for it's rider. And it's PINK!

BTW, Psimet2001 threatened me, my livelihood, my family, and my reputation, so it's okay if I go to L'Equipe and tell how he rides a little girly colored -ASSO bike.

    Did Pythagoras like pizza?
Anyone else bothered by the wrong math here?

Correct, up to the 3rd line.

    From there it should be:

    1 + pizza/pie > pizza

    (1 + pizza)/pie/pizza > pizza/pizza

    1/pizza + 1/pie > 1

So, this proves that pizza and pie are some possive real value, and that's all. Of course, all this is wrong if pizza or pie is an imaginary value

It's interesting to see how those who would rather not deal with issues do their best to hijack a thread.

Getting a Lemond would be like getting free pie and chips. Who doesn't like free pie and chips? First there's pie; and then there's chips. For free.

Square pizza pie? Sicilian... too many carbs.

(But if you are ever out on the north shore of Long Island, there is a place in Sound Beach that makes a Sicilian Marinara... Holy cow! One of the tastist pizzas this Brooklyn boy has ever eaten.

LeMond Racing Cycles is obviously a corporation, but is it owned and completely controlled by Trek? Could it not have been worked out that Lemond might have been awarded a small but significant share in a company that bears his name?
I've heard of the Clark-Kent Lemonds but not Calfee. I assume that was the carbon fiber models?

Yes, carbon with the signature Calfee fins on the lugs. Lemond had outfited his Z team with Calfees in the latter period of his career. Btw, it was reported somewhere (can't remember where) that Trek may be trying to get out of the 6 remaining years of its agreement with Lemond. I'm sure someone will chime in with the link.

Nah, it's just something you replace ASAP. Much like the toilet seat(s) in a pre-owned home.

Okay, so here's someone saying they'll never buy a Lemond because of something he may or maynot have said 5 years ago, and over there at the illustrious mtbr.com we have another guy saying "I'll never buy a Turner" because of Dave Turner saying "29ers aren't perfect for everything".

So we haven't quite sunk to the level of 'total ******s' yet, we're only 'mostly ******s'. That's good to see.

I look at it this way. Of the prime motivators of what makes people buy Brand X over Brand Y, things like this are waaaaaaaaaay down the list, and people who come up with statements like "I'll never buy Brand X because...." you're better off not having as a customer anyway. They're probably the same people who say things like that, then pull on their sweatshop produced sneakers and go have a hamburger down at some 'restaurant' hell bent on erroding the standard of living for all their staff, before driving their 6litre V8 SUV to go work for some company who makes George Foreman grills to sell to housewives on daytime tv.

    Wouldn't that be ASSAP?

Darn it -- cause I bought my new bike as a low-mileage demo. It has the seat I like. Didn't realize I was supposed to replace it. Yuck...

ha, yes, I believe that'd be more appropriate. Hhhhmmmm, well a seat you like is hard to come by, so just wipe it down w/ 409 or something and don't tell another soul.

Also, ever notice the above thread entitled, "Sticky: saddle swap" ?

The last time I saw him was in Fall '04 for a concert @ "Rock City" in Nottingham. I've seen Motorhead a few times, but had never seem Lemme do an acoustical on a harmonica until then, I was shocked, but it was cool! That's where I got the buckle (and a headache and a cold). That buckle was the best 15 pounds I've ever spent.

I believe he may be somewhere in LA now??
