Tom is actually local to my area, and he was just home a couple/few weeks ago, visiting family and recouperating after getting some sort of ailment during the Giro. He'll be back at it for the Vuelta, and is projected to be a part of Disco's team for the '07 rendition of Le Tour. He was actually in studio with the OLN crew prior to the Tour starting. He talked about his season and what he on schedule to do a little bit while there. I'm hoping he can pull through next year and have a good run and hopefully stay healthy. Always will support a local rider before any other... just hoping I can cheer for him during the Tour next year.

He won the 7-stage Tour of Austria which I believe wrapped up on July 9th.

He dropped out of the Giro with bronchitis/flu...something.

Hoping he can finish the Vuelta (let alone maybe podium); he's yet to finish a Grand Tour - would like for him to get the experience this Sept in prep for next July, if he is in fact selected for the Tour de France team in '07.
