A couple of days ago I thought that OLN mentioned that Floyd's wife would be joining up with him for the last stages of the Tour. Is it possible that Floyd expended a little too much energy off the bike the night before stage 16? France is a pretty romantic place after all... It used to be the case in other pro sports that players were kept away from wives/girlfriends etc. before big games. Does the same hold true for pro cycling?

Manzano allegedly got fired from Kelme for getting a piece during a stage race. He got pissed off, and ratted out the doping procedure etc.. Of course all the big names said he was full of BS, jealous loser etc.. But his testimony was instrumental in bringing down the Fuentes Operation recently.

So, did the ol' in-out cause floyd to have a bad day? or did it seal his win by denying Ullrich and Basso entry into the tour... hmmmmmm..

I wouldn't touch this topic with a 10 inch pole!
