What time will GC contenders start their TT on Saturday?
I need to figure out when to be back home from a Saturday morning ride to catch the top 10 riders do their Time Trial on Saturday.
Any estimates on when they will roll off? Like 10th place or so? Eastern US time would be good to know.... |
Ride AFTER....
Watch all. |
Don't talk me out of a ride.... If I wait till after, it will never happen.
Recall that I have two young'uns under 2 years old. I gotta take my rides when I can, which have been few and far between lately... |
Then go REAL early and watch all with a bloody mary in hand after your ride.
|
Seriously, all you really need to see is the last three guys go, which will be at least an hour and a half into the broadcast, which starts at 7:30 central.
|
Typically the gap between riders is one minute until the last few when it kickes up to two.
Check when the race starts and figure 1 minute per rider. That will give you a reasonably safe time to get back. Use race start, not TV coverage start. You can get how many finished the last stage off the official TDF page. I would doubt there would be many overnight drops at this point. I'm only going with history, anyone who knows specifics for this year is a better source. |
Right.
Remember that the 7:30 broadcast start time gives you no idea how many riders have already gone once they jump in on TV. As keith said, check exact stage start time....wherever the heck you can get that. |
