José Azevedo is Better Than Floyd Landis
That's what some racing fans said in this forum during the 2004 Vuelta... when myself and others stuck up for Floyd we were told Azevedo is a better climber than Landis, Azevedo is a stronger rider than Landis, Azevedo is a better GC man than Landis... how you like my man Floyd now? heh heh, sorry, couldn't resist digging that up

That statement was probably true at the time. A lot of water under the bridge since 2004. Rider and team circumstances change over time affecting performance.
