new chain for old 105

I'm planning on buying a new chain for my old trek 1400 which is equipped with old "new" 7-speed 105 stuff. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Stick with the Carbon Fiber Trek for the Tour, don't use heavier steel.
The Shimano teams use Dura Ace 10 in the Tour, use the modern stuff.
