    where was the Devil?

Ok , just finished catching up on the stages I DVR'd,and I don't recall seeing the Devil anywhere. Anybody know what happened to him, or are the cameras just ignoring him? Worse yet, no Specialized Angel.

I saw him a couple of times. Can't recall where. I even explained his presence to someone I was watching the stage with and told them about how he has pitchforks painted on the road to let the riders know when they're approaching him. Almost on cue the helicopter view showed the pitchforks.

McEwen says you smell him before you see him. Didi doesn't shower for the 3 weeks.

Yeah, I watched nearly every stage and I too managed to not see him this year. Must have taken food & bathroom breaks at the wrong time.

I saw him a single time. TV must be ignoring him.

I saw him in a mountain stage too- it was at the very beginning of the show. They showed him towards the top of one of the mountains- I want to say it was the last mountain stage before Paris, but I can't remember for sure.

I was completely glued to the TV during the entire tour, and I saw him only once however briefly, in the Pyrenees.

Al and Phil pointed him out, but didn't make as big a fuss as they normally do and at the time it occurred to me that the lack of attention was strange.

It might have been an editorial decision: don't let something one the periphery (the characters) outshine something that should be the focus (the race). All speculative, of course, but it makes sense to me.
