Operación Puerto - riders implicated vs. top 10 finishers in the TdF since '96
Thought this was interesting seeing all the *'s beside these names. These *'s are earned by either admitting to doping, being on current suspension from doping, have been suspended from doping, implicated in Operation Puerto, etc., etc.
The timing obviously isn't on - maybe Jan was clean in '96, etc. Maybe Pantani wasn't doping in '98. But thought the number of *'s was pretty crazy. Was anyone missed? Not sure.

Interesting list. Thanks for sharing.
We always ellude to the fact that if someone like Jan Ullrich is doping, then surely Lance Armstrong is right? I guess the question we must also ask is, how good would some of these people be if they didn't dope? Furthermore, how much of an advantage are they really getting?

Rumas was inplicated in a doping scandal imvolving his wife after his 3rd place in the 2002 Tour. I dont think he ever rode again as a paid professional.

All these asterisks are making me dizzy. I honestly don't give a crap what the pro's do. As long as no one here in BF gets implicated i'm fine. Although some have been banned, it wasn't for banned substances.

Try setting the dopers in an alternate color. That should really make them (the number of them) stand out.

And whatever you do don't put one by Bjarne Riis...he only wants to talk about the future not bring up things that happened 10 years ago.....

Perhaps update again,
Oscar Pereiro.
https://www.velonews.com/news/fea/12277.0.html
I'll agree that the link at this point is nothing but wild speculation. But that nickname belongs to someone and when you read that story and hear Oscar's response and attitude of being DNA tested - could he appear any more guilty/hiding something? Oh but then again, we already know he dopes with an approved asthma medicine known as a performance enhancer - right, asthma, sure you do.
"'I am not Urko,' insists Tour runner-up"
How many times did Basso state the same about Birilo? OK Oscar, real simple, prove it with DNA.

Did Igor change his name from 2001 to 2002? lol Or maybe this list https://forums.sportingnews.com/viewtopic.php?p=1964090 is wrong. They have one or two more listed for OP.
