excuse my ignorance

but why don't tour riders use tt bikes on non tt stages? I know you couldn't use aero bars because of handeling issues but why not put sandard bars on a tt bike?

i don't know if it's allowed, but anyways riding a TT bike in a peloton is dangerous. they don't handle nearly as well as a racing bike, and your weight is more forward.
