Team Kits
I doubt there's a solution, but I have a general beef about some of the team kits the major teams use: their colors are too damn similar! I mean, in certain light Astana, AG2R, Bouyges, Milram and Gerolsteiner look a lot alike. Is that the points leader's arm I see or a Credit Agricole rider? Is that the MJ or someone from Saunier Duval? Rabobank and Euskatel look similar sometimes, as does CSC, Caisse Deparngne and sometimes Lotto. Depending on which sleeve is poking out, a Lampre rider could look a lot like T-Mobile or Quickstep.
You know what I mean?

I'm surprised you don't confuse Confidis with Barloworld.

I really don't understand why the TDF allows Saunier Duval to wear Yellow. With Rasmussen wearing yellow shorts, it's hard topick him out from the Saunier Duval Riders in a pack.

there are more teams than there are primary colours.
harden the ***** up, and get better at picking the jerseys. it's not that hard.
it's always going to be difficult when you've got a big group of riders moving fast. i think the team kits are about as varied as is practical within the bounds of reasonable taste (that lampre jersey is UGLY).

The rest I don't really care about - but this one really bugs me too.
If I was a TdF organizer (not UCI) I'd say no yellow.

Wow, I don't have this problem at all. I agree with bad timmy...just keep watching the Tour. Once you become a hardcore geek junkie, it becomes easy to distinguish teams and riders even from a distance. Even on the helicoptor shots I'll be like "Oh there's Voeckler...there's Moreau." I can sometimes tell riders on the same team apart just by their pedaling styles, postures, backsides
Lampre uniform is ugly, but I think Liquigas beats it. Their shorts have that weird fading reptilian lime/pea-green streak going down the front and back of the shorts. Euskaltel shorts have that orange semi-circle on the upper back which makes it look like the riders have plumber's crack. Astana colors are pretty but remind me of smurfs. FDJ white is pretty classy. Milram colors remind me of Milhouse's hair, or maybe it's the name. Ugh I feel like Joan Rivers right now.

Barloworld has a retro-jersey this year. From a fashion standpoint here is the current retro look:
And here is the prior year. Almost looks like the Liquigas kit in Red

Okay, first off I've been following pro cycling since the days of Greg LeMond, so I'm not exactly a newbie at this stuff. My primary complaint is that Saunier Duval looks like 9 more GC leaders and Credit Agricole looks like 9 more points leaders. When you're looking for someone's kit to peek out in a group, sometimes it's tough. Maybe my eyes are just getting old, but remember the good old days when it just seemed a lot more obvious who rode for whom?

yellow kits should be changed to pink for Le Tour like the good old days.
ONCE even issued nice new pink Looks to it's Tour squad.

I HATE Saunier's colors... maybe in real life the yellow is quite different than the maillot jeune.... but on my tv it's really frustrating.

If Rassmussen didn't wear a yellow helmet, bibs, gloves, it would be easy to pick him out.
Riders so much better when they pair a leader's jersey with their normal kit.

i actually like the OCP'ness of the matching yellow. the helmet, gloves, socks, shoes, and sometimes a fancy new paint scheme on the bike. later.
