Let's talk about these awful commercials. Enzyte, HP, Cervelo, Bridgestone, "Red, White, Black, and Blue Summer", the TdF montage w/ song "IIII Can Feeel your Paiin"... my mute button is getting a workout.

Saab Born From Jets. I have heard that commercial for years now.

That ****ing baby CD commercial is worse than anything else they run during the Tour. "Amaaandaaa, Amaaandaaaa..."

Agreed. Isn't it even the same commercial from last year?

The Visa commercial is also getting pretty friggin' old.

Has anyone else noticed that the commercials not strictly aimed towards men tend to be better (when you have to watch them 12 times per morning)? Perhaps it's just my imagination...

No way, I love the HP commercial with Michel Gondry. "I even pleh-eed zee mee-usic for zis commeh-cial on my computeh." :o) He reminds me sooo much of Jörg Jaksche at the end when he's in bed.

I am soooooooooooooooo sick of ALL the recurring commercials at this point. They were all pretty decent to watch for the first 1,000 times, but it's just too much for me now! :eek:

I love the disclaimer on the Saab ads that reads, "not affiliated with Saab jets". But the one thing that helps keep my sanity is letting the broadcast go for about 40 min. then fast forwarding thru it all.

I love the specialized ones with Boonen.

"The Time Trial. The clock and road are constant. But this bike cheats the wind. Every pedal stroke propels me. Do you hear it? This bike handles. This bike is aero. This bike is my advantage. I am Tom Boonen. I am special......ized."

Also the Versus coverage of the tour de france.

The hated Saab commercial has burned a hole in my brain so I no longer hear it.

Given that my most hated commercials aren't even on your bleeding list, I checked "Red, White, Black, and Blue" because it's the longest.

Watching the 'Gonna be a Red, White, Black, and Blue Summer' - since when cycling crashes have become a redneck sport?

Either way, I ask again: why do you guys sit there and watch the commercials if you hate them so much? True story: A buddy of mine and I at lunch one day were looking through the classified ads in the papers after doing the crossword. He noticed an ad that was in Bold print and big font and says "this is so stupid. why would anyone do this?" I said: "it works doesn't it? it caught your attention."

"Oh," he laughs, "I guess you're right."

Advertisers could not care any less if you hate or love their ads. Their only goal: get you to watch and talk about them.

This was a difficult poll, sooo much to hate!

I chose the HP "sleeperr" because it started jumping on the same nerve that was worn out by the "I ulso liike to take uundeer whator phoetoes und email them to my friends..."

All of the commercials promoting Versus programs annoy me. I suspect their marketing department of specifically targeting that portion of the population who don't understand why "The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" didn't win an Academy Award. I'm wearing out the "mute" button on my remote control.

It's wheel drama dude. Sheesh...

Luckily I have not seen the Enzyte commercial air to completion once during the whole tour. Every time it comes on, it plays for a second and then some other commercial interrupts it. They just don't give smilin Bob a chance! :)

I think the enormous preoccupation with ED and blood sports shows just how far we have come as a culture. :(

i'm surprised nobody has mentioned the michelob ultra commercial. that thing is driving me nuts. if you've never tried this stuff, you'll only do it once. i've talked to bartenders that have told me they can't give the stuff away. and the commercial is the most asinine thing i've ever heard. a beautiful example of a lot of babble that sounds good but actually says absolutely nothing.

well, my beer and i are both three-dimensional. four, if you wanna count time. i've never had a one-dimensional beer

huh? what in the hell does this even mean? every beer is "made for today". this means absolutely nothing. stuff like this drives me nuts. it's an insult to your intelligence. marketing double-speak. i grind my molars every time this thing comes on

Any guess as to the crappy "mystery" bike Michelob Ultra man is riding? It's Shimano at the least. Looks like a Fuji for some reason. He wears a ghetto helmet from the '70s too :)

I hate the Mitchum deodorant "We know what guys like" commercials. The ones where they cover up the babes with a shot of their idiot stick deodorant. It's the sort of joke that when you tell it once, you're a wit, and if you tell it twice, you're a halfwit (wit = 1/# of times told).

Edit: Of the ones in the list, "I am a dreamehr, but I'm not a very good sleepehr", is probably the worst. I fart in his general direction
