There was an interview the other day, I think it was Bruyneel, where he basically said Levi's game is to suck wheels because he knows he's not strong enough to attack in the mountains. He has to win by attrition. Maybe Contador attacks enough to crack Rasmussen or Evans so one or both drops below Levi. Levi just hopes everyone will kill each other off and he'll be the last man standing.

Well, so much for Astana attacking tomorrow. Perhaps Levi and a couple of the Discovery guys will try to make a break - since only Rabobank would be working to cover it.

Lotto and maybe CSC would cover it, because they can't allow Levi to get time on Cadel. Who knows about Sastre

Levi said as much himself about his ability to attack in the mountains. If Levi were in third I'd say the strategy might be to unleash Contador early and see if he can break Rassmussen. If he does, he wins it all. If he can't get it done send Levi up the Aubisque just as fast as he can go to see if Contador did enough damage that Levi could be the straw that breaks the Chicken's back.

The trouble is that Cadel Evans is in third and he'd need to be broke for this to work.

Although Chris Horner has done well for Cadel thus far... Cadel has been by himself later in the stages without any more help from his team. If thats the case sometime tomorrow ...maybe levi could pull some time back. the main strategy will prbly be for discovery to crack rabobank then start pulling 1-2 attacks on rasmussen on the penultimate climb.

Lotto has a very limited ability to work on climbs. CSC would have incentive, but either of these teams would make Rabobank respond before they help out.
