I will even watch the recap show tonight to see what the latest is. I imagine that they will preempt the usual coverage to give us the latest...

"Gosh, Phil and Paul and Bob, is this the death sentence for professional cycling? Has the glory of cycling been tainted with the evil stain of doping and performance enhancing drugs. What does this mean for the future of the sport?"
"These guys are the toughest athletes in the world, and if they can survive a three week long painfest with the mountains and the lactic acid filling their souls and grinding their wills to dust, they can survive this."
"It makes me rather sad."
"Well it makes me rather sad too, Phil. I was talking earlier to Bernard Hinault, and he didn't like this one bit."
"Okay then. Now for our Saab Fly to the Finish Sweepstakes. The code word for the day is homologous."

Not only can't I wait for tomorrow's stage, I'm still looking forward to the 2008 Tour. And afterwards.
Cycling ain't gonna die - yeah, it'll take a few body punches and some sponsors aren't coming back, but it'll survive.
And if it gets worse, well then I just continue to follow the Tour de Toona. Only regret is that I can't get back to the old home town to see it live this year.

The Versus team coverage will probably go something like this:
"Gosh, Phil and Paul and Bob, is this the death sentence for professional cycling? Has the glory of cycling been tainted with the evil stain of doping and performance enhancing drugs. What does this mean for the future of the sport?"
"These guys are the toughest athletes in the world, and if they can survive a three week long painfest with the mountains and the lactic acid filling their souls and grinding their wills to dust, they can survive this."
"It makes me rather sad."

Yeah, they had something in the crawl at the start saying that the program was pre-recorded. The crawl also mentioned the Vino situation, and that coverage would start at 6:30AM. Oh, I am really starting to like that DVR
