Rasmussen Photo

There was a photo of Rasmussen floating around about a year ago where he was sitting with his shirt off and he looked sickly skinny. I want to show it to someone.

I might have to rethink my business plans based on the internet then. I've been inventing spam to sell marketing via email.

The best part is the tatoo on his arm. Seriously - if you have an arm like that, you should not even try to get a tatoo.

Ryanf calls those Danish pythons "hammers".

Same thing...

+1! Goes against most of what the public would expect to see. Instead he looks like he's pulling his socks up during a brief period of feeling well, while stuck in the cancer ward at the local hospital or something . . .

(and no, that's not a dis of any sort on those with cancer)

The tattoo is actually on the inside of his arm, but you can see all the way through.

Using steroids is the last thing he would want to do. Cyclists do blood doping: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_doping

+1 - he is trying to get as light as possible to max his strength to weight ratio and crush everyone on the climbs.

First of all, I have to laugh at people saying cyclists don't use anabolic steroids. Cristian Moreni was caught using steroids today.

Secondly, Rasmussen does not even look human in that picture.

Wasn't Moreni caught with excessive levels of testosterone? I know the two have some overlapping effects but faik anabolic steroids have the result of bulking muscle mass which testosterone does not do as much. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

I agree Rasmussen looks like he is seriously sick.

Yes, 1999 mountain worlds, and there was a big to-do about that when he began riding for Rabobank a few years later. People didn't like that he was wearing mountain world champ stripes while on a road bike. The idea is to wear the stripes only for the discipline you earned them in. That's why you see Cancellara only wear his world champion stripes when he's on his TT bike. Former champs sometimes opt to wear the stripes on their team kit sleeves (Cipollini) and some don't (Armstrong).
