Amazing Ride by Levi!

I want to start by saying, as long as Levi tests clean today, I think that was one of the most exciting time trial that I have ever watched. His performance today was nothing short of remarkable. Congratulations on the Tour Stage Win, and a Podium Finish in Paris. F---king Awsome!

It was an amazing run, Levi is such a good sportsman too, he said that he doesnt plan on "pulling a vinokourov" aka sneak attacking cadel tommorow in the final stage. Levi deserves to be up on that podium, incredible performance from him in the last few stages, especially as he worked to aid contador.

I do not know about the fastest TT ever, but his average speed was over 50km an hour. That is insane!

+1. I think that he road his best tour ever. To go in as a team leader and finish as a team work horse with no complaints is truly remarkable. He deserves a lot of respect for what he has done at this years tour.

There is of course some correlation between testing clean and being clean, but surely you don't believe that testing clean means the rider is necessarily clean, do you? Then why the caveat? What difference does that make?

Yes; I have to agree with you on doping. This is sad but true. It is starting to look like most professional riders are cheats. Following that thought process; I guess from hear on out the winner of the tour will be the guy that can finish the race without getting caught.

I don't think Millar's win there counts anymore. They took it away from him after he admitted he doped for that TT.

Good company, indeed. Only Millar's performance is confirmed to have been "enhanced" by performance enhancing drugs. Of course, he tested clean.

The dude was/is in 3rd place on GC...and someone posts "Amazing Ride!"...what exactly should someone read into it?

I'm just bitter 'cause out on my ride, some idiot takes out his cell and blurts out the outcome.

Why would it matter? The title already gives a bunch away.

TT road records seem dubious. Much of it depends on the course, the weather, etc. Greg's in '89 was to me the greatest tdf TT ever.

Levi had a great great ride.

What ElJ and FGH said..

You would have to be really stupid to not put the thread title and the eventual result together

Anyway its all said and done and no reason to start a pissing match now.. Peace..

Can you really compare Lemond's speed at 24.5km to the others at twice the distance?

Another example of you focusing on doping instead of the racing intent of this thread. Remember last night when you asked for examples?

I really don't know this, what about the opening time trial of 2005. Was that considered a time trial or a prolouge? It was rather short.

Yes, and I actually gave my first post here a second thought, but then decided the OP opened the door with his own statement.
